Hello World! My love for babies, animals, and people at every time in their lives seems to come out when I hold up my camera to my own eyes. As a matter of fact eyes seem to be the thing I seem to be drawn to, along with cute kittens, puppies, and fat baby feet, and hands. So for 7 years I spent breeding Ragdoll cats I began photographing them to put them on my website to sell them to the world. During those 7 years my friends and family told me to venture out and take pictures as a business. I laughed at the thought and continued to photograph my kittens from my breeding show cats.

As early as I can remember when I was a teenager I always had a camera. I had an old Canon AE1 and every lens I could get my hand on. I bought film with my money I made babysitting and carried my camera with me to football games and times out with my friends. Those pictures lie in boxes still not placed in albums. I have always had a desire to do artistic type of work, drawing, painting, sketching, and photographs. I was supposed to go to the  Art Institute of Houston back in 1982 and was accepted by the school after they viewed my portfolio. Unfortunately for me it was not a time in my life where I could afford to pay for school myself and my parents could not help since I had 3 other siblings yet to go through school. So I went about my life, met my husband, and had a beautiful family of 3 children. No matter what I did during my young adult years, I raised my 3 children to love art and photography always encouraging them to be creative. Through all of that I always had a camera in hand.

Now with 32 years of marriage , the birth and growth of 3 babies into adulthood, the birth of a grandchild, and literally millions of photographs now all placed in photo albums and hanging on the walls in my home I have decided to take my love of my camera one step further and so Through MY Eyes Photography was born. I started with a couple weddings, taking pictures of my niece and nephews, and then photographing my friends and co workers children, families, and special events. I hope that when people visit my website they will be able to see the world through MY eyes.
